I sent later waves of units that hit mines, so I'd point to those as the cause. I just don't recall hitting mines while retreating - that was odd. It's alive, although about as healthy as the Maug right now.

Reading the past few posts, my experience with DL1 is different from yours - are you using Deadlock 1.31 like I am? Without research I'd be lost. Early on I try to replace defensive laser turrets with energy defenses to ward off attacks. Later I try to use fusion or disruptor canon to attack enemies.
