Re: 3 questions
My experience is only with deadlock 1. Did your enemy have citizens in their territory? Do citizens fight in deadlock 2 like they do on deadlock 1? Those citizens could kill off a lot of units. Troopers probably have higher military capabilities than scouts as well. Stronger units can kill several w...

Re: Deadlock 2 : Increase Population ?
This answer only pertains to Deadlock 1, could be different for deadlock 2 Food does not affect population growth at all. You can play Cyth without any food and still grow your population as fast as any other race except the Chch't. I posted the following elsewhere as part of a larger post: Populati...

Re: Deadlock 2 questions.
Fuel depots are basically landing strips. Think of them as airports that you can't build units in. They are only useful to extend the range of your planes. It's a waste to build them unless you need to get to a territory out of the range of your airports. If you have ever gotten the warning that if ...

Deadlock:Planetary Conquest Guide
Deadlock is essential a game of colony management. How well you manage your colony will dictate your success. There are five basic areas you need to successfully manage: Military, Economy, Research, Resources & Workforce. All are interconnected, and sometimes tradeoffs need to be made, so making...

The game can usually be won before this point.Ubergeneral Grunt wrote:I didn't list it because the manual and Deadlock's in-game help doesn't, as it is meant to be a surprise for when the player finishes the tech tree for the first time.

Re: What difficulty level do you play Deadlock at?
I play boosted or supercharge. Usually with fast production (for quicker games) and either 7 or 10 city centers. I have beaten the game with every race at 100% difficulty though.

Re: Deadlock Walthrough: How to beat on 100% difficulty
The Cyth are definitely the worst, as they lose 20% of you workforces effectiveness with no way to remedy the situation. I remember a few years back (I don't play Deadlock today as much as I did, that's not to say I love it any less), I played as the Cyth on 100% difficulty and built and defended 5...

Re: Deadlock Walthrough: How to beat on 100% difficulty
"And lastly the Maug. ... On 100% difficulty, this is almost impossible to reach." I just played a 100% difficulty game as Maug using the settings wobombat mentions. Actually I'm still playing, but on turn 114 I have every square of the map except for a Tarth square without an army in it....

Re: Deadlock Walthrough: How to beat on 100% difficulty
A few points/corrections here 1) You can still have a scandal even if you buy/sell items in an unpopulated territory. The scandal will randomly happen in another populated territory. 2) Avoiding building planes is a mistake, they are the most powerful units in the game 3) Transportation costs can be...
