OpenDeadlock Lobby Subproject Announcement
Today marks the anniversary of our Alpha Test announcement. I would like to announce that we are also working on a subproject to create a matchmaking system for Deadlocks . I have a dream to allow any player to choose their version freely and find other players online. In this sense, the goal of [Op...

Deadlock 2 Demo Upgrade Patch
Hello GalliusIV members. I am aware that while some prefer Deadlock 1, I am pretty sure that almost everyone here likes Deadlock 2. The Deadlock 2 Demo is commonly used by me to decode the structures of Deadlock 2 because it features debugging symbols. However, this debug feature is not important to...

Re: Does anyone know about networking?
That's great news MildewMan1,
I am sorry I am too busy to test it correctly right now.
I just want to ask if there is any way to save the game as soon as the host disconnects.

Re: Does anyone know about networking?
Hello MildewMan1, at first, many congrats on your partial successes! I'm not sure if this is because of a deadlock in my network code Pun intended? About the issues you are encountering, you need to remember that TCP uses blocking calls. Yet, I admit I have never played a 7 player game ever. I...

Re: Does anyone know about networking?
Tggtt's patched GOG.com version with restored multiplayer support Thanks for reminding us about that, however, I don't see any trouble there, since the patch only changes DEADLOCK.EXE to make it work just like the updated 1.31 with CD but using the files provided by GOG's installer instead of looki...

Re: Does anyone know about networking?
I believe that UDP packets are called datagrams, while TCP packets are called segments, but that is mostly derived from OSI layers. UDP does not need sockets to transfer data, they only need to send the datagram without connection setup. And yes, I also agree that TCP should be better in this case b...
