Re: Racial Stats
Disclaimer: All these numbers are for Deadlock Planetary Conquest, I am not sure if they carry over for Deadlock II. I actually went through all the number in the past. The numbers for unit strength really only matter when fighting equal units, like Laser Squad vs Laser Squad. The side with a higher...

Re: Which race is your favourite?
I would have to say the strongest is the ChCh't, their population bonus allows them to do more of everything, even out tech other races. Their two negatives: slower research and lower taxes can be easily overcome. The Maug are probably the second strongest, you just have to manage their morale a lit...

Re: What are the differences between DL1 & DL2?
They are two totally different games. The controls for Deadlock 2 are very clunky. The graphics look like something out of the original Nintendo from the mid 1980s, Deadlock 1 looks good even compared to games from the 2000s. You also can not allocate workers individually to buildings in Deadlock 2 ...

Re: Artillery disappearing
There is a stacking limit in deadlock 1, but it isn't very difficult to deal with. It is 2 Artillery 4 infantry and 3 Air units. You can not go over 3 sea or 4 warheads either. Deadlock 2 is no where near the game that Deadlock 1 is. I played it twice, the controls are cluncky and the graphics are t...

Re: Community Multiplayer Games - Deadlock 1 or 2?
I would say Deadlock I, I never liked Deadlock II, I played the demo a few times, it seemed very clunky compared to the original.

Re: Deadlock - Official 20th Anniversary Topic
I still think the original Deadlock is one of the best designed games ever. The only strategy game that I would say is on equal footing with it is Galactic Civilizations II. The game still looks relatively good today graphically, the races, for the most part are well balanced. I really didn't care m...

Re: Deadlock - Official 20th Anniversary Topic
I found Deadlock in a bargain bin for $10 and enjoyed the character of the manuals and back story enough to get my $10 worth. My typical Deadlock game featured me in 3 territories at the corner of a map, with all AIs against me to keep it interesting. Only then would I get enough attacks and sabota...
