I'm curious if someone here has considered wearing a costume inspired by deadlock.
I just thought it would be really funny, but I would never do it myself.
I'll stop posting threads since I'm worried about spamming this forum.

Deadlock Wiki
Hello again! The last time I came here a database access error appeared, it seems fixed new, so I believe that whoever fixed it is enjoying warm glasses of oooooomi. I am here today asking if there is a wiki about Deadlock or if someone has a plan for creating a wiki for it. Since it's so hard to ge...

Re: Open Deadlock clone
I can make the panes (background of the window) use the image, but I'm not sure about the toolbar. It seems that the original Deadlock used a custom line of buttons, they aren't a native toolbar, maybe they weren't around by that time. Personally, I think that a native toolbar is better, since it ca...

Re: Open Deadlock clone
The name was a joke  I was expecting someone to point it. I'm not sure about the name, since Openlock sounds "cheezy". (I know it is spelled cheesy) And it is using native OS's GUI. I have created that using wxwidgets, the windows are generated using native GUI via a C++ library that ...

Re: Open Deadlock clone
Here it is!
The long awaited clone... of the GUI.
Just an example to show it's not hard to deal with GUI in C++ if you use the right tools.
I didn't take long to create this using a gui design tool that generates c++ code.

Re: Open Deadlock clone
Welcome to the forum Tggtt, Thank you, ubergeneral! A few months back I did toy with the idea of creating a very basic Deadlock clone in C++, basic as in: perfectly square territories and no enemies or AI. I didn't really get anywhere because I don't really know how to do a proper interface, apart ...

Re: Questions about Deadlock
At first I acknowledge the replies from the creators, I didn't expect them to be around and the trivia is very very interesting. I hope they are still ok and find more opportunities to create more masterpieces. On the other hand, I have tried decoding the sprite files without success (the DL1 and DL...

Open Deadlock clone
Hello. I would like to know if someone is working on a real open source clone of deadlock. I acknowledge the efforts on the mod Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri mod, but I refer to something closer to the original game. I'm talking about something similar to OpenTTD (engine reverse engineering and keep th...

Re: Why did you start playing DL?
A neighbor of mine traded deadlock: planetary conquest for a soccer game I had, he thought strategy games were too complex to be fun.
