Re: Deadlock 1 and 2 are now on GOG.com!!
I already own both, but I'd like to spread Deadlock 1 around, so I bought a gift copy. First person to PM me, I'll reply with the gift code for you to claim. If I don't hear back for a week, I'll offer it to the 2nd person who PM'ed me for a week, etc. Just to set expectations in advance - good luck!

Re: Deadlock on sale
Looks like that sale has ended. Deadlock costs $5.99 again (I already have it, just letting others know).

Re: Units destroy everything!
I've clicked on my own mines before to remove them, but I am not able to see enemy mines... so for me, there's nothing to click. So if sending units doesn't blow up mines, computer opponents must be disarming my minefields with spies. I guess I assumed the visible units that encounter a minefield (a...

Re: Units destroy everything!
Do minefields get used up? Meaning, if you send in a laser trooper every turn, will they eventually detonate so many times that the mine field is gone? Oh no - I just realized I'm about to do this experiment... I'm on the Human Campaign (Shrine Wars) #3... I own most of the map, and am about to rese...

Re: Replaying the Deadlock 2 Campaign
Of all the campaigns, Maug seems the hardest. I normally just keep moving through each scenario. A basic defense with some aggression is enough to win. But with the Maug campaign... no way. I had to restart almost every scenario, sometimes twice. While I have a couple laser cannon and no steel, I'm ...

Setup https for galliusiv.com ?
I noticed this website shows "Not secure" at the top of my Chrome Browser (Version 77.0.3865.90), meaning that it only runs on http. When any of us login, our username and password go out over the internet in plain text, just like this message. It also means all your private messages also ...

Re: Which race is your favourite?
But I enjoy the Maug personality more than the others, the way they complain their way through every activity is amusing! If research could be "carried over" from one project to another, Maug would be more powerful early on. Later, their research bonus becomes powerful against lower tech ...

Re: Replaying the Deadlock 2 Campaign
Now that I'm on the Deadlock II Maug Campaign, it seems much harder than the others. I've gone though Uva Mosk and Ch'Cht. And I like to play Maug (if you didn't gather that from my username)... but I've had to restart on two different maps. It's tough. When I played the "X" map, with 4 ra...

Re: What elements of Deadlock II do you like/hate vs Original
After I saw how Deadlock II changed the interface, I refused to play it for a very long time. But then I learned of the highlight of Deadlock II: it has a campaign for each race. So upon learning that a few years back, I started playing Deadlock II. The campaign is it's best feature for me. I'm okay...

Re: Which race is your favourite?
There's one exception to the Tarth military bonsues: they work great against the Ch'cht military disadvantages. I'm playing the Ch'cht campaign of Deadlock II now, and the Tarth are tough. I recall staring in disbelief as 2 fusion canons pounded a Tarth laser tower, and only brought it down when a 3...
