The short answer is no. The only way to get rid of the minefield is to conquer the territory or successfully disarm the mines with a scout. Edit: Actually there have been a few times where enemy minefields still remain active even after conquering the territory. They bring down that territory's mora...

What the title says. +I like the expanded sea additions. Sea platforms and more units make for a more interesting game. +The editor and the campaign are also great, adding to an otherwise straight forward game. +World resources are also a nice touch... low energy for martian, high endurium for alien...

My god... it finally happened! I actually disabled a mine field! It took an ungodly number of tries, but it finally happened. Having taken ChCh-t research facility #1, I easily went on to take down the remaining two territories w/out much effort. Wow. I'm surprised at how much difference the absence...

General race attributes: Cyth. Really like their gothic nature and interesting character design. Noticeably easier to play in DL2 because museums require a 3-turn upgrade period, one cannot satisfy overpopulation penalties of swamps/mountains, and demand 10 energy. Has anyone ever had success with disarming enemy mines? Whenever I know that mines are in a given territory I've tried repeatedly with experienced scouts and have NEVER accomplished this. Not once in countless attempts. And yet I have had my own mines destroyed by enemy scouts... is the game rigged ...
