I'd like to describe my experience playing Deadlock 2 after many years away from it and the original. So a bit of a journal with my observations about Deadlock II. It doesn't have to be only my comments - feel free to discuss your personal experience playing races in either Deadlock I or II.

On gog.com, searching for "deadlock" now brings up "Battlestar Galactica Deadlock" (2017) first, before "Deadlock: Planetary Conquest" (1996).

I was able to run the Macintosh version of Deadlock on an iPad using Basilisk II.

I've got an iPad for reading (Kindle app), so this might be an option.

Has anyone played Deadlock on a tablet?

I've read about Windows simulators that run on Android, but I think installing them might require a risky update that voids the warranty. Curious if anyone has a lower-risk solution that works on Android.

Maug aren't listed in that ChatGPT description, but are a playable race with science bonuses.
Meanwhile Thalan aren't a playable race, but their technology bonus suggests possible confusion with the Maug.
I guess the Maug were too sick to argue with it.
