Re: Introduction
I think that the "lack of love" for deadlock has to do with the fact that it's an old game (1996) and only had one sequel. SimCity and Civilization have had several sequels, offshoots and advertising money poured into them, that's why they are more popular. If both of those games had stop...

Re: Deadlock 1 strategy
you should maybe have used humans or tarth. they have really average population ratio increase. maug are quite sick and they grow slowly. in fact, as the uva mosk, they are a late-game race. I made sure both races had 100% morale, so their sickliness wouldn't affect growth. I will probably do a mor...

Re: Deadlock 1 strategy
I did a study one time to see how much of a difference there was in population growth for the Chch-t and another race. I used the Maug as the generic race. I played 10 turns as each race. I can't remember the AI ever trying to sell me anything. The Skirineen will contact you atleast once a game, but other than that I can't recall the AI once trying to sell anything. I've only played the original deadlock.

Re: Which race is your favourite?
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. Just throwing my two bits out there; Maug are my favorite! It's a personality thing. I like their voice, taunts, and how the scouts can destroy the enemy's buildings etc. I recently played as the Chch't and I found it too hard to resist befriending the Maug, who wer...

Re: Questions about Deadlock
In the original form of the game there was a large guide that discussed each race. The Ova Musks are basically a bunch of tree huggers who want to spread thier tree hugging ways accross the galaxie, that's the revolution they're talking about. Maybe I'll see this in the manual of the version I boug...
