MercadoLivre has two copies of the game:
http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB- ... colade-_JM
for R$20.00 (US$10.16)
http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB- ... etaria-_JM
for R$49.96 (US$25.37)
If these are really too much I'm sure you can get the English version for even less.

Tarth cooks make best strudel, barbecue, bean dip, fish, cat food, smelt, piston rings, tofu and cam shafts...

have you tried checking ebay?
Re: help deadlock game
I feel it fair to note that the game currently has some unresolved compatibility issues with various recent versions of Windows (XP, Vista, W7, no doubt W8 too), so you might want to consider that before you pick up a copy, unless you're happy playing with speech only (no sound/music).

Deadlock 1 & 2 are available on gog.com, where I bought it for $6 (full price!):
http://www.gog.com/game/deadlock_planetary_conquest
Unlike the CD-ROM version, it works on modern Windows 7 even with a widescreen resolution. With my old CD-ROM version, I had to remember to change screen resolution before I play. Much easier - and it's why my only full price purchase on gog.com was for Deadlock.
(I know the original thread author won't see this, but figure others looking for a copy of Deadlock should be aware it recently appeared on gog.com).
