Deadlock II on windows 8?

hello everyone, new here.

i got so excited when DL I & II were on gog. i bought them both immediately.

but DL II wont run on Windows 8...has anyone figured this out? i even tried running it with dosbox, but it says it can only be run in windows.

hopefully someone who is much smarter than me will get it working!

I think that original DL2 1.00 works on Windows 8 with less glitching (unpatched CD version), a new patch may be needed to work with gog.com version, but it would still be a nuisance.

I totally recommend running a virtual machine for it, so you can run it "windowed" without any glitching.

Older windows versions should run DL2 out of box.
